The VB Dining Scene

Family Friendly Eateries in Virginia Beach

If there’s one thing to note about Virginia Beach, it’s the incredible dining scene. There is truly something for everyone, whether you’re looking for locally sourced seafood, a hip pizza joint, a good ole-fashioned American burger or a farm fresh breakfast. Virginia Beach has got it all.

Get your day started at Pocahontas Pancakes or, if brunch is more your vibe, some VB classics include Mary’s Kitchen, Doc Taylor’s or the Rustic Spoon, just to name a few. Take a walk down the strip at the Oceanfront and pick any spot for lunch – spoiler: you can’t really go wrong wherever you choose.

Head to New Realm or Barrel 17 for an over-the-top burger or grab a slice of specialty pizza from Dough Boy’s at the oceanfront.

One of our favorite things about the dining scene is the number of farm-to-table eateries in the city. There’s nothing better than fueling yourself up with fresh locally sourced ingredients. Grab an easy bite at Simple Eats or indulge in a fine dining experience at Heirloom. Other farm-to-table food finds include Hearth, Commune, Esoteric and many more.

Fresh seafood can also be found almost anywhere. Enjoy waterfront and/or al fresco seafood dining at Rockefeller’s, Abbey Road, Rudee’s Restaurant and Cabana Bar, Surf Rider Restaurant, Mahi’s, the Tin Cup and an endless amount of others.
