Lodging & Reservation Information

The Virginia Beach Hotel Association extends a warm welcome to our visitors this year. We hope that the following information will be both helpful and informative in making your stay happy and carefree.

When making reservations at one of Virginia Beach’s hotels, be sure to supply complete information regarding your stay: time of arrival, length of stay, complete description of desired accommodations, location of rooms, etc. Familiarize yourself with a hotel’s policy on cancellations, early check-outs, refunds, etc., as policies vary from one property to another. A deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay is generally required. This can be secured by cash, check, credit card or money order. The deposit is to guarantee that the room will be held for your arrival and to ensure that the room will be paid for in the event you change your mind. All rates are subject to applicable taxes.

Other Information

CHECK CASHING
Find out in advance if credit cards or personal checks can be used to pay for your room. Local banks do not cash personal checks, although traveler’s checks are accepted at most banks and businesses. Several banks in the resort area exchange foreign currency.

CHANGES IN RESERVATIONS
Some hotels require up to 7 days written notice of cancellation prior to arrival.

EARLY CHECK-OUTS & REFUNDS
Some hotels may require up to 72 hours notice when a guest requests a change in a previously set departure date. Refunds are not usually handled from the registration desk. Standard booking practice is that a check will be mailed from the hotel’s business office. Please inquire about the hotel’s policy at the time that you make your reservation. Group, monthly or weekly rates are subject to the contract or confirmation guidelines.

MINIMUM STAYS
Some hotels require 2-, 3-, or 4-day minimum stays over weekends and holidays or during special events.

CHANGES IN RATES
The information on this website was collected in the fall of 2019. Due to a number of factors, these published rates may change without notice. Rates may be higher during special events or peak periods. Please inquire about the rate when making reservations.
