Explore Away From the Shore

town center

There are so many things to do in Virginia Beach other than going to the beach, like perusing shops and restaurants in Town Center, taking advantage of our famous Shore Drive or visiting many local farms and markets in Pungo.

Town Center is always a fun place to go shopping, as it full of both local and big-name stores. Every street has its own feel and after turning every corner, you can expect to find a surplus of new things. Whether you’re looking for brunch, pizza, dinner or unique cocktails, Town Center has something for everyone.

Shore Drive is a Virginia Beach staple and is well-known for its abundance of incredible local restaurants and stores. It’s a hot spot for both brunch enthusiasts and nightlife lovers. Bay Local, Simple Eats and Citrus are just a few of many places that are ideal for a mid-morning meal. Popular places for the evening include Shorebreak, Chicho’s, Central on Shore, CP Shuckers and so much more. The great thing about Shore Drive is it takes you away from the beach, but you’re still right there next to it in case you change your mind.

Pungo is Virginia’s hidden gem with stretches of farmland full of local produce. Be sure to stop in one of the many local markets selling their seasonal bests or partake in your own you-pick excursion. Pungo is also home to the Military Aviation Museum, a unique local attraction featuring the most incredible collection of World War II era warbirds.
