Naval Air Station Oceana, the East Coast’s only Master Jet Base, welcomes guests to the 2023 NAS Oceana Air Show Sept. 16 – 17.

The air show, an effort of showing support of military families and communities, is an action-filled, family-friendly event.

The theme of this year’s air show is “50 Years of Women in Naval Aviation.” This is a celebration of the advancement of women’s roles in Naval Aviation since 1973 when the first group of women attended flight school in Pensacola.

The show will pay tribute to “The First Six,” who earned their Wings of Gold and recognize all women Naval Aviators, both past and present, for their service.

Award-winning broadcast journalist Ric Peterson will announce this year’s NAS Oceana Air Show.
