Virginia Beach is a top entertainment destination where you can catch outstanding performances on all kinds of platforms, from its premier venues to its city streets. Year-round the Resort City showcases the talents of national, regional and local performing artists, with some of the largest music festivals happening directly on the beach, or steps away, at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Virginia Beach’s newest entertainment venue, The Dome, opens this spring with its first show, featuring Three Dog Night, on May 4. Its music hall will have a capacity of 3,500 but can expand to a total audience capacity of 5,000 when its doors are opened to an outdoor area. Located on 20th Street at the Oceanfront, the venue will be part of a new premier entertainment center, Atlantic Park, which will also feature the Atlantic Park Surf/Wavegarden Cove Surf Lagoon, restaurants, shopping and more.

Since 2007, the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach Town Center has been entertaining audiences of all ages with performances by Grammy winners to symphonies to comedians. With venues as varied as the performances it hosts, there’s never a dull moment with Virginia Beach’s entertainment scene.
Happening this month, the annual Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend will take place at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, including the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, the Virginia Beach Convention Center and surrounding areas. Wear green and come enjoy the fun!
Also in March, a performance of Cinderella presented by the Virginia Arts Festival will happening at the Sandler Center for Performing Arts.
