ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Welcome to the Holiday Inn Oceanside! Our beautiful 149-room property is located in the heart of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. We are inviting candidates with excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and a passion to serve others to apply for our Part-Time Front Desk Night Auditor position. As the Night Auditor, you would serve as the primary point of contact for all things related to our guest’s stay during the overnight shift (11:00pm to 7:00am). You are empowered to create a warm and memorable experience for all of the hotel’s guests and visitors. Additionally, you audit reports and prepare the hotel for the upcoming day. In a typical day-to-day, you can expect to:
- Oversee the guest experience during the overnight shift and assist with guest resolution/service recovery as needed.
- Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlet’s: (e.g. restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
- Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing.
- Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports.
- Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily
- Run night audit final after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
- Perform the duties of a Front Desk (guest check-in and check-out, assist guests, provide general information on hotel and nearby attractions)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
This position is strictly an overnight position and interested candidates must be able to work from 11:00pm to 7:00am. This position is part-time and will be scheduled an average of 2 to 3 shifts per week.
– Previous hotel night auditor experience, preferred
– 1-2 years of front desk experience or similar customer service experience
– Previous cash handling experience
– A self-motivator who has a passion to deliver amazing customer service
– Flexible availability – able to work overnight, weekends, and holidays
