What You Will Bring To This Role:
The Housekeeping Aide would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all corridors, vending areas, elevators, landings and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotels standards of cleanliness. The Housekeeping Aide would also assist Housekeeping Room Attendants by providing linen supplies and stocking floor closets as well as delivering and retrieving items requested by guests and the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
Maintain cleanliness and adequate supplies of all housekeeping storage rooms according to standards. Restock storage rooms and housekeeping carts with clean linen.
Refill chemical bottles as needed by housekeepers and placing on the housekeeping carts.
Empty and remove dirty linen carts/bins and trash bins out of the hotel. Replace liners in trash bins and return clean/empty bins to the proper locations.
Coordinate with the laundry/linen company the daily pick-up and delivery of linen.
Assist housekeepers by delivering linens and supplies to their rooms as requests. Assist housekeepers by stripping rooms of soiled linens and trash.
Respond to guest and Front Desk requests for housekeeping items (i.e. delivery of cribs, rollaway beds, extra linens and other guest supplies).
Report all maintenance deficiencies via radio communication to supervisor and Engineering staff. Complete work orders as needed.
Vacuum and mop guest corridors and stairwells
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in some cleaning capacity, preferably Housekeeping in hotels.
Must be able to multi-task and be very detail oriented.
Friendly, can-do attitude is required
The hospitality industry requires that employees present a professional image at all times. This includes providing courteous and attentive customer service. Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Uniform standards will be explained during orientation. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Regular attendance in accordance with company standards is essential for success in this position.
Required Characteristics:
Physical activities include kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, repetitive bending, handling, feeling, reaching, stretching, grasping, and heavy lifting of up to 100 lbs.
