We are inviting candidates to apply for our Part-Time Valet position at the Holiday Inn Oceanside! This position works on the weekends only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Interested candidates must be able to work weekends, particularly weekend nights.
What You Will Bring To This Role:
You will be responsible for providing quality service in a timely manner when assisting our guests upon their arrival and their departure. You will comply with hotel brand standards to meet guest expectations and create total guest satisfaction.
Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and written. Identify and explain hotel facilities and features to our guests.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, but work cohesively with team members. Follow directions thoroughly when instructed by the bell captain.
Operate guest vehicles in a safely manner. Park and retrieve guest vehicles as requested by hotel and daily guests.
Responsible for identifying and resolving guest complains and concerns by conducting thorough research of the situation.
Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hotel, to ensure the guest are directed to the appropriate locations.
Provide excellent customer service and compose a professional demeanor with your guests.
Essential Qualifications:
Valid (state) drivers license with no more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.
Must successfully pass a DMV Check, Criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Test.
Must have good understanding of the English language.
Ability to communicate effectively with others – both verbally and written.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
For insurance purposes, all candidates must be over the age of 18
Desirable Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
Experience in hospitality industry in similar position.
Knowledge of the local area.
Ability to suggestively sell.
Ability to access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
Previous guest/customer relations training.
Physical Abilities:
Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 150 pounds.
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
Reach overhead
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8-hours in length.
Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
Work environment – Hotel lobby and entrance areas, all guest areas. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings, and around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, and chemicals.
