Celebrating Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month is March. The 2023 theme is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.” Santa Rosa, California, started the movement in 1980 by women’s history activists Molly Murphy MacGregor.“ Women are changing the future. We believe that knowing women’s history gives all of us—female and male—the power and inspiration to succeed. We believe that Our History Is Our Strength.

 This event is an ALL-PURPLE AFFAIR.” Why Purple? Purple represents royalty, visionary thinking, dignity and justice. The reason to choose purple, as a focused color for the Women’s Month theme, is because of its historical significance.
