Below are our top picks of upcoming events that are planned for Virginia Beach in the next few months. Please note that events are subject to change.
April 21-September 4: Maya Lin: A Study of Water at Virginia MOCA
The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is presenting this incredible solo exhibition that brings together a selection of the internationally acclaimed artist, Maya Lin’s, sculptural interpretations of water spanning several decades.
April 23: East Coast She Crab Festival
If there’s one thing Virginia Beach locals love, it’s She Crab soup! Try a variety of different restaurants’ takes on the creamy delight and vote on your favorite.
April 30: Atlantic Coast Kite Festival
Enjoy the fresh air and let the wind take over. This festival is perfect for families who love the outdoors and are looking for a relaxing adventure.
May 6-7: International PanFest
Sit back and relax while listening to Caribbean music at the Oceanfront at this culturally enticing festival.
May 13-15: Pungo Offroad Monsters on the Beach presented by Eastern Truck & Accessories
Thrills and chills are headed to the beach. Enjoy the full “monster” experience while witnessing the Monster Trucks battle for ultimate sand domination, race in the King Carpenter Cup and so much more.
May 13-15: Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market
Shop from over 125 fine artists and craftspeople from across the nation. Exhibitors will have a variety of goods, from art, handcrafted jewelry, clothing, toys, candles, foods and much more.
May 20-22: Beach Music Weekend
Enjoy a weekend-long concert series at the 3 stages strewn throughout the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
May 27-29: Memorial Day Weekend Salute to Summer
Enjoy the official kidk-off to summer concert series at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
June 3-4: Band Aid Music Festival
This event is a ‘great party for a great cause.’ Enjoy country, rock and blues performed by local bands. Food and drinks will be available. All proceeds help veterans with service-connected injuries.
June 18: Chalk the Walk
The Boardwalk is going to be turned into an impromptu canvas of color at this art competition. You must register to participate.
June 24: Rebelution: Good Vibes Summer Tour 2022
Rebelution is coming to the Veteran’s United Home Loans Amphitheater. Mellow out to relaxing reggae.
June 24-25: La Fiesta (Latin Fest)
For two days, you can celebrate the sounds and sights of the Latin experience at the 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
July 1-3: Totally Tribute Music Fest
Partake in a grand celebration of music! Music genres range from classic rock to pop to country.
July 4: Independence Day Fireworks at Mt. Trashmore
Fit in with the locals and relax on the hill. Mt. Trashmore presents an annual firework display every 4th of July.
July 7: Luke Bryan – Raised Up Right Tour
Join Country super star Luke Bryan and special guests Riley Green and Mitchell Tenpenny at the Veteran’s United Home Loans Amphitheater for the country concert you do not want to miss this summer!
August 5: REO Speedwagon and Styx with Loverboy – Live and UnZoomed
Rock out at the Veteran’s United Home Loans Ampitheater with these classics.
August 6: Virginia Beach Water Lantern Festival
Experience the magic as you release a special lantern, amongst thousands of others, and watch it float and reflect on the water.
August 24-27: Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament
Catch an award-winning fish or join the 2022 Charity Raffle. The tournament is part of the Virginia Beach Billfish Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to giving back to the community through youth and marine related charities.
August 26-27: Virginia Beach FunkFest Beach Party
Rain or shine, enjoy two days of electrifying music, food and vendors.
August 27: CXB Salutes America 5k
Embark on a 3.1 mile run through the streets of Chic’s beach. All proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Beach Civic League.
September 30-October 2: Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend
Hundreds of thousands of people visit every year to partake in this epic weekend at the boardwalk. You can expect a sand sculpting contest, sports tournaments and so much more.
