You will have day-to-day interaction with our Guests. Sharing your “service oriented professional attitude along with your upbeat positive personality” with our Guests is what we are all about. In addition to buying great food, Guests are buying “great experiences”. A Swan Terrace Guest is sure to visit us again when they have enjoyed a memorable experience. Servers are to ensure guests are serviced quickly and efficiently and consistent presentation.
The server’s primary responsibilities will include:
Have a thorough knowledge of our restaurant
Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to our Guests
Greet Guests and build rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation
Offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques (daily specials, beer, wine, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after dinner beverages)
Follow the established table service procedures
Pre-bus and maintain tables
Complete assigned side work and duties (opening, closing, and during your shift)
Present Guests their check and settle payment
Practice teamwork by helping co-workers (step outside your primary job duties to assist where needed)
Train and guide other Servers as requested by your Manager
Perform other tasks as assigned by your Manager
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITY
· Organized work habits; reading abilities.
Must be friendly, timely and efficient.
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for long periods of time
Customer Service Skills
Knowledge of Food Service Regulations
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education –High School Education.
Experience – One-year experience required.
Kitchen or restaurant experience preferred.
