Virginia Beach hosts some of hottest events on the East Coast. Top-notch annual events—from the Annual Boardwalk Weekend, marking its 50th anniversary in 2024, to the Spring and Fall Wine Festivals—are beloved by locals and visitors alike. And Virginia Beach is certainly an epicenter for music lovers, with concerts occurring year-round all around the City. The Virginia Beach Oceanfront hosts a variety of musical performances, from huge festivals on its beaches to more intimate concerts on its smaller stages (including many free concerts!) along the boardwalk. In addition, the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach Town Center and Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater are remarkable venues to see musical artists of diverse genres, with concert lineups including top-selling recording artists. April 20: East Coast She-Crab Soup Classic

Sample delicious She-Crab Soup from regional restaurants and cast your vote for “Best She-Crab Soup” at the East Coast She-Crab Soup Classic, returning this year on April 20 from 12 p.m.-2:30 p.m at 24th Street Park. Click here for more details. 

April 26-28: Audacy Virginia Music Festival

May 3-5: Jersey Boys

Catch one of the showings of Jersey Boys, The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons presented by Virginia Musical Theatre at the Sandler Center. Click here for more details. 

May 4-5: Atlantic Coast Kite Festival

May 10: Virginia International PANFest

Celebrate Caribbean music while listening to steel pan performances in this concert and competition rolled into one fun festival presented by the Virginia Arts Festival in cooperation with Virginia Beach Events. May 10: Beach Music Weekend

May 11: Martha Graham Dance Company

Make plans to be amazed by the 100th anniversary of Martha Graham Dance Company, presented by Virginia Arts Festival, at the Sandler Center. A legend, Martha Graham created 181 ballets and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and National Medal of Arts. Click here for more details. 

May 13: Annual King Neptune’s Invitational Golf Tournament

May 17-19: Pungo Offroad Monsters on the Beach

Brace yourself for the 25th anniversary of the Pungo Offroad Monsters on the Beach presented by Eastern Truck and Accessories. May 18: 19th Annual Spring Wine Festival

May 24-26: Memorial Day Weekend Salute To Summer

May 30-June 2: USO Experience Virginia Beach

June 1-2: Point Break Music Festival

A new festival featuring reggae music is coming to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront June 1-2. Performers will include Sublime, Rebelution, Stephen Marley and many more. Click here for more details.

June 5: Coffee Concert III

Experience an intimate musical performance, presented by the Virginia Arts Festival, at the Sandler Center. The concert features musicians Wu Han and Olga Kern on piano, along with David Finckel on cello. Click here for more details. 

June 7: Ben Folds

June 8: Samara Joy

June 14: Chris Thile, Mandolin

June 15: Chalk the Walk

See colorful chalk drawings cover three blocks of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, from 16th to 18th Streets, during this creative competition with multiple divisions, including Amateur, Professional and Youth. July 5-Sept. 5: Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

Sept. 27: International Sandsculpting Championship
